Inner reflection is non-judgmental. This is because it is biomechanical. Our inner system of awareness is our postural system. It is essentially neutral and balancing.
What about social conflict? It is important to remember for both sides of the argument alike that inner reflection is non-judgmental.
Our neutral postural stance is our focus for the practice of interoception. Our system of inner awareness, interoception, is essentially grounding, centering and stabilizing because it is also our postural control system.
Inner reflection or inner awareness is biomechanical and it is an essential form of structural neutral. It is by design a self balancing and self directed sensory motor system that we can rely on for grounding, centration and healing. We can access it mechanistically at any time that we wish even if it is with only minimal energy and minimal exertion, through micromovements.
There really isn’t any room for evaluative cognition in the mechanical function of the deep core. It is all about centration, grounding and stability.
It’s the simple but profound muscular experience of getting a grip on ourselves.
That’s why we start with the gentle inner smile.
