The Primordial Axial Line

The primordial axial line is a structure that we share with the entire chordate phylum including all vertebrates. Updates at least to the pre-Cambrian era and embryologically is present in the first major differentiation within the cells of the development developing embryo, at three weeks, When the spherical blastula transforms into to the more complex, tubular gastrula.

The axial line is a fundamental design principle found in nature and we can compare our own tubular structure to that of an onion or orange.

We see that this involves is a deeply layered system determined by the connective tissue matrix. In human beings this matrix is called fascia. It is like a complex, layered and deep inner skin. Like our outer skin it is highly sensitive and a Indeed it is how we know ourselves from the inside out.

Fascia has been described as the organ of Interoception. This makes sense because our outer skin can also be considered an organ of exteroception. It is how we know ourselves from the outside in.

The myofascial synergy that makes up the human axial line was discovered by Thomas Myers. He calls it either the deep front line or the deep core. Myers description of a system of longitudinal myofascial synergies or “anatomy trains” is a major part of the ongoing and revolutionary rediscovery of fascia. The deep core is the most important of these and as we unpack it we see that it is also the most profound in every sense of the term.

Metastability is essentially complementary. It is a significant enhancement in the cognitive abilities of the whole brain/body synergy.

It is in the specific but simple

anatomy of the deep core myofascial synergy,

the primordial axial line,

the interoceptive sensory motor system, and

our inner AI—our animal intelligence,

where we make this happen.
