Myofascial Metastability and Consilience.

Obstetrics as a medical science did not develop because we did not know how to give birth. It is pretty obvious that humans have been giving birth long before there was anything called medicine. Obstetrics is useful and was developed because we wanted to avoid injury or death of either the mother or child. Is it OK however if because of the arrogance of medicine we lose sight of the instinct of childbirth? What else have we lost sight of?

Coordination dynamics is the epitome of the neurophysics of complexity theory. Coordination dynamics is much bigger than just what children and animals do naturally, without training or language. But children and animals do it naturally, without training or language.

This means that it is natural and practical. There is a helpful cerebral component but it is not necessary and this is important.

Science, reason and intellect are not greater than this state of metastability. But they are greater because of it. Collectively it is a paradigm shift that takes us backward and forward, into and beyond ourselves at the same time.

It is a way of being. A particular sort of attentiveness grounded in a particularly powerful body-wide myofascial synergy.

The simple anatomical pattern represents our sensory-motor coordination dynamics. This is far greater than a transitory fractal hint. It is the whole that is greater than the sum of its parts but it is also you and me.

This answer may be silent and without words. After all animals and children do it without training or language. But it is not without profound and diverse meaning, sense, and wisdom. This is the age when we have become able to talk about it.
